Does anyone know any simple, cost-effective, yet healthy meals?
I try to eat healthy, but in this economy, it is tough to buy healthy meals, as products that are healthy tend to be more pricey, so I was wondering if anyone knew any recipes or meals that are simple to make, cost-effective, and healthy & delicious. Thank you.
Meals based on rice or dried beans (bean soups and rice salads are nutritious and tasty). Buy pasta products when they're on sale. Shop at Costco for bulk amounts of canned products, like tomatoes and corn. Buy large amounts of bread on sale and keep it until needed in your freezer.
Check your library for books on healthy, inexpensive ways to feed your family and look around on-line as well. Good luck!
