Any recipes or suggestions for what to do with a ton of leftover hamburger/hotdog rolls from New Years?
I had a party on NYE and hubby overbought the rolls. Now I have all these rolls and there's no way I'll be able to have the family eat them all before they go...can they be frozen? If not, anyone have any slick ideas? Thanks...
yes you can freeze them and when you want to use them just take them out of the freezer and microwave them for about 40 sec.
you can make lots of thing like sloppy joes,BBQ chicken sandwich,hummus sandwich...etc

Good easy deer jerky recipe?
i have to use a dehydrator so no recipes the require smokers. and i prefrer to use ground up meat and jerky gun but i dont mind cutting it up. no real spicy recipes but i dont mind a little kick thanks for answering
I don't care for the ground jerky, I've learned that the less fat and grizzle in my venison the better. That's why I prefer lean cuts like rump or hindquarters for this. Take a good chunk and place it in the freezer till it is semi frozen, this makes it easier to cut into very thin and long pieces. Cut off any excess fat and place in a plastic bag. Then get some Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, pepper, soy sauce, just about anything that's good on meat. Marinate for at least 12 hours in the fridge.Then just load it up on your dehydrator till it's done. I love the smell of that stuff in the air and we find ourselves picking out the pieces that are done just to "test" the batch. Some people prefer the Teriyaki flavor but it's a bit on the sweet side for me.

I have a recipe to cook chuck roast in a pressure cooker?
for French dip. Is there any other way to cook this other than a pressure cooker since I don't have one? Is just a crock pot or a big pasta or soup pot fine to leave it in and cook for awhile? The recipe is talking about the pressure regulator should maintain a rocking motion the whole time and I don't know if that has something to do with the cooking process?
The rocking motion means the pressure cooker is under pressure.
You can cook the French dip in a slow cooker or in the oven.

Help! Short Ribs!?
As far as I can see, there are a few types of beef short ribs. I have seen them sold in long skinny strips of meat (bacon-sized), with little oval pieces of bone running down the length.
The other are 2"x3"x1" cubes of meat with plates of bone inside. This is what I have in my kitchen.
What type of short ribs do MOST recipes call for? They never specify....
They also never say if I need to do anything special to separate the meat from the bone, or make eating easier.
Can you please help? Do I just cook the ribs the way they are, in little blocks? I don't need recipes...I just need to know what to do to the meat before I start the recipe!
The most popular for recipes is the 2x3x1 size as you call it. The thicker, fatter ones. Most short rib recipes call for them to be "braised" which means cooking very slowly at a very low temperature. After this is done, the meat will simply fall right off the bone.
Crock Pot cooking of short ribs is ideal. Put them in with some water or beef broth and cook them all day.

can i subsitute beef tenderloin for lamb?
LAMB
1 cup peanut oil
10 tablespoons hoisin sauce*
1/2 cup plum wine** or Sherry
8 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper
2 1 3/4-pound racks of lamb, trimmed
2 tablespoons bottled chili sauce
2 cups dry-roasted unsalted peanuts, finely chopped
SAUCE
2 cups beef stock or canned broth
1/4 cup dry red wine
2 tablespoons bottled chili sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons chilled butter
*Available at Asian markets and in the Asian section of many supermarkets.

Do you think i could use beef tenderloin instead of lamb for this recipe? would it taste alright??
yes, it would taste great with tenderloin, just reduce your cooking time because the rack probably requires longer to cook. if you cook it for the same amount of time as the recipe suggests for the rack of lamb you will end up with a destroyed tenderloin. good luck!

I have the butt end of a roast beef deli slab that my roommate brought home from her work. Crock Pot Recipes?
It's boar's head, already cooked, used for deli sandwiches.... It's a 2 quart crock pot and we here love organic and exotic foods (two are unfortunately vegetarians).....some one come up with a dank recipe for me to cook up........it's about a 3/4 pound end of the meat. THANKS......ONE love
Potatoes and carrots on the bottom, meat, package of dry onion soup mix (maybe half of a package since you don't have a ton of meat) and then about half of a can of Coca-Cola Classic. It might sound weird, but we do it with regular pot roasts, and they come out super tender and delicious all the time!

Ground turkey recipes?
I've recently discovered ground turkey and I love it! However I've only made meatloaf and a few other things with it. Does anyone have any good ground turkey recipe's?
On another note, does anyone know if they have ground chicken, and where to find it?
my mother eats a lot of ground turkey, you may wanna try it as a sub for all of your dishes, maybe some international ones as well... turkey tacos, on your home made pizza. In your pasta or on a taco salad. She would make white chili with it or diced chicken. But I dont think they make chicken ground up... the meat is too stringy

LARRY'S BEST BABY BACK RIBS
These are the best ribs you'll ever wrap your lips around! The meat practically falls off the bone by itself, and the sauce is better than anything you can buy in the supermarket!
2 racks baby back ribs
1 clove garlic, minced
1 medium onion, minced
5 tablespoons butter
2 1/2 cups catsup
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/3 cup cider vinegar
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tbs. spicy mustard w/horseradish
2 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbs. chili powder
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. liquid smoke
1/2 tsp. black pepper
Melt butter in 2 quart pot. Add onions and garlic. Cook over low heat until onions are soft.
Stir in remainder of ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let cool completely.
Cut each rib rack in half. Place in tins and pour a liberal amount of BBQ Sauce over ribs. Cover with tin foil and place in preheated 190°F oven for 9 hours. (Yes, 9 hours!)
Remove from oven. Discard drippings or save for other use. Transfer ribs to grill or place under broiler for about 10 minutes. May be refrigerated and grilled at later time. Serve with extra BBQ sauce. Enjoy!
Drippings Suggestions:
Pour drippings through a sieve and bring to a boil. Lightly brush slices of ciabatta or other Italian bread on both sides with drippings. Place on grill to toast, turning over midway through.
