Protein Yogurt-Peach Smoothie Recipe???Help?
I'm looking for a big, high protein peach smoothie recipe that involves the following ingredients:
-peaches
-whey protein powder
-yogurt (for thickness?)
-something natural to add to give it more fiber
-anything to make it tastier, except sugar
If you could put together a tasty smoothie recipe along those guidelines that would be great: 10 points.

I've got two recipes, I've tried the first one and it's great. I like to use frozen blueberries and raspberries for plenty of anti-oxidants, bb have the most antioxidants of any fruit. Check out my source link if you're interested in agave nectar- a sweetener that's a healthy alternative to other sweeteners because of its low glycemic index, this means that it will release glucose slowly and steadily. Many people use agave nectar in their smoothies, tea and coffee because of it's properties. Psillium husk is good to add to recipes for additional fiber, check out the second source link I added.
Ingredients:
* One serving of your favorite plain or vanilla Whey Protein Powder
* 1 cup skim or low fat milk or 1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt and 1/2 cup skim or low-fat milk
* 1/2 cup fresh or pureed fruit. Great options include: berries, mango, guava, pineapple, pitted cherries, peaches, or bananas
Note: If fresh fruit is used also add 1/2 cup of crushed ice
* 2-3 drops of lemon flavored extract
* One teaspoon honey
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients except the whey protein powder to a blender
Note: The whey protein smoothie can be hand shaken as long as you use pureed fruit versus fresh fruit.
2. Mix for 1-2 minutes or until the ingredients are well blended.
3. Add the whey protein powder and mix for an additional 10-15 seconds.

* 1 cup orange juice
* 1 banana, peeled
* 4 frozen strawberries
* 6 slices frozen peaches
* 1 ounce whey protein powder

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

How do I make a crusty glazed maple/brown sugar glazed ham?
[serious people only} I am cooking a ham from scratch.I've made many before, just not this kind. Please tell me what to do to make the ham a spiral cut with homemade brown sugar & maple syrup glaze. If done right, the glaze is a bit crispy on the outside. This is important to me as we will be meeting my brothers girlfiend for the first time. I want everything to be perfect. Does anyone have a recipe that can help me out & not be too costly.
Did my first spiral cut ham on Turkey day. We did a bourbon and brown sugar glaze. Cook the ham according to directions if it is spiral cut. I think ours was about 3 hours on 275F or something like that. Check it out on some different websites. Anyways the glaze was great. About 2 cups bourbon (for an 12lbs ham) a cup or orange juice, half cup dark brown sugar, and a few tables spoons of honey. Just mess around with it. For last hour of cooking, we basted the ham with the glaze about every 10 min we added another layer. Wonderful taste. My recipe might not be exact just kind of change things to your liking.

Does this sound like a good dog biscuit recipe?
The other day, I made oatmeal raisin cookies. After I took them out of the oven, I set them on the counter to cool.Subsequently, my dog jumped up on the counter and stole three cookie. This is weird only because I had put other things on the counter such as hamburger meat, cooked chicken legs, and cheese, and my dog didn't jump up to get those things. So I guess my dog has a sweet tooth. Does the following recipe sound like a good dog biscuit recipe?
2cups oatmeal
2cups whole wheat flour
1/2cup honey
1cup chopped apples
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1cup peanut butter (as a substitution for butter)
This is the third time I've made revised to the recipe. Is the third time a charm? Is this healthy?
Wheat is a known allergen and irritant to dogs' systems. Even if you do not see immediate irritation from wheat, a build up over time can impact the functionality of your baby's insides. I find it best to avoid wheat, except in EXTREMELY small doses, if absolutely necessary.
How about grinding the oats in a food processor to make oat powder/flour? I do this to avoid the wheat, and I also grind up whole Innova treats in the food processor to make what I call "Treat Flour". I use it in my dog recipes and, of course, my dogs go bananas for it.
Speaking of bananas, I always throw in a bit of mashed banana whenever I include apple in a dog recipe. Apple can give them the runs, but bananas can bind them up, so they balance each other out and keep your pooch's poops regular.
Also be careful giving your dog honey, as it can be an allergen. Start with small doses, if your dog is not used to it yet, and watch their reactions over 2-3 days.
Other than these cautions, the recipe sounds like fun! You could always add some mashed cooked carrots to it, or even get crazy and add a can of tuna or chicken. If you include meat, be sure to refrigerate the treats for no more than 3 days, or freeze for long term use.

I want to make my own bread.?
Can you share your delicious recipe with me?
Just a quick, easy recipe, (i'm not an experienced french chef or anything), be gentle.
5 to 6 c. flour
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 pkg. dry yeast
2 c. water
1/4 c. vegetable oil
In large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Blend well. In small saucepan, heat water and oil until very lukewarm (120 to 130 degrees). Add warm liquid to flour mixture. Blend until moistened, then beat with beater 3 minutes. Stir in 2 1/2 to 3 cups flour until dough pulls cleanly away from side of bowl.
Knead 10 minutes, adding a little flour at a time, if dough feels sticky. Grease lump of dough. Put in bowl to rise and cover with towel. Let rise until double, then punch down. Divide dough into 2 parts and shape into balls. Let rise on counter covered with inverted bowl for 15 minutes.
Shape into loaves and place in 2 greased pans. Let rise in warm place about 1 hour or until it has risen about 1 inch above pans. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until loaf sounds hollow. Remove from pans and brush top with butter.

Can somebody give me a easy basic mini quiche recipe?
Lately i've been wanting to make mini quiches.
I used to have a recipe when I made them for my school project but have lost it.
So has anybody got any ideas for a recipe?? HAS to be mini quiches
Easy Mini Quiches
Servings: 24
Cute quiches that are as tasty as they look. Perfect finger food for parties, these one-bite wonders will make any party into an event.
6 slices bacon, chopped
1 onion, chopped
3 eggs 3/4 cup buttermilk baking mix
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
2 cups shredded American cheese
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease 2 mini muffin pans. In a large skillet over medium heat, fry bacon and onion together for about 5 minutes, or until bacon is crisp. Drain and set aside.
In a medium bowl, beat the eggs. Stir in the baking mix, parsley, shredded cheese, bacon and onion. Spoon into greased muffin cups.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the tops are lightly browned. Allow mini quiches to cool in the pan before carefully removing with a small knife or spatula.

An easy low-fat, low-calorie chewy homemade granola bar recipe?
I'm trying to make more things at home that way I'll know what goes in to what my family and I are eating. My son loves the Quaker chewy granola bars but if I can find a recipe to replace those with, it would be great not only for health reasons but it would also save on the grocery bill! I know I have been specific but I also know if it is time-consuming or requires specialized ingredients I won't use it.
Ingredients
4 1/2 cups rolled oats 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2/3 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup honey 1/3 cup packed brown sugar 2 cups miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease one 9x13 inch pan.
In a large mixing bowl combine the oats, flour, baking soda, vanilla, butter or margarine, honey and brown sugar. Stir in the 2 cups assorted chocolate chips, raisins, nuts etc.
Lightly press mixture into the prepared pan. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes then cut into bars. Let bars cool completely in pan before removing or serving.

I am looking for an easy strawberry or cherry Baked french toast recipe?
Here are some recipes that I have made recently:
Baked French Toast Recipe
Ready in: > 2 hrs
Difficulty: 3 (1=easiest :: hardest=5)
Serves/Makes: 4
Ingredients:
1 loaf French Bread
3 eggs
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups milk
1/2 cup flour
6 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup butter
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 cup sliced strawberries -- warmed
Directions:
Cut bread diagonally into 1-inch slices and place in a well-greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. In a med. bowl, lightly beat eggs, sugar and vanilla. Stir in milk until well blended. Pour over bread, turning pieces to coat well. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 375F degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Turn bread over in baking dish. Scatter blueberries over bread. Sprinkle evenly with crumb mixture.
Bake about 40 minutes until golden brown. Cut into squares. Top with heated strawberries or serve them on the side.
This recipe for Baked French Toast serves/makes 4
--------------------AND...
Cherry Stuffed French Toast
1 French baguette
4 ounces cream cheese
8 ounces cherry pie fill (about 1/2 can)
4 large eggs
1/2 cup cream
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. vanilla extract Directions:
Preheat griddle to 350 degrees.
In a medium bowl mix 4 oz. of cream cheese with cherries (take cherries from can with a fork in order to avoid too much syrup). Blend until smooth. Mixture should be pink, cherries will be in pieces.
In a large bowl beat eggs. Add in cream, vanilla extract, cinnamon & nutmeg. Mix well.
With a serrated knife cut baguette diagonally into 1/2 inch slices. Cut each slice into a top and bottom without separating. Fill with a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture and close. Soak stuffed bread pieces in egg mixture until slightly "squishy". Place on hot greased griddle and cook until golden brown. Serve with powdered sugar, maple syrup or fresh fruit.
-----------------AND...
Strawberry-stuffed French Toast
(All ingredients are per serving, multiply as necessary)
2 slices thick-cut cinnamon bread (most thick-sliced breads will work)
2 tbs whipped cream cheese
1/4 c + 2 tbs strawberry preserves
2 large strawberries, one thinly sliced
1 egg
splash of cream or half & half
dash of cinnamon
butter for cooking
sprinkle of powdered sugar
Spread cream cheese on one slice of bread, place sliced strawberry evenly over top, carefully spread 2 tbs strawberry preserves over cream cheese and strawberry. Top with second bread slice, forming sandwich.
Whisk egg, cream and cinnamon together in shallow dish/pan.
Preheat electric griddle to 275E (may also use frying pan).
While griddle is heating, soak French Toast sandwich in egg mixture, evenly coating all sides.
Add butter to heated griddle and toast sandwich on all sides. Cook until cream cheese is melted and sandwich is evenly browned. Turn up heat on griddle to 350E once cream cheese is melted to get crispy toast.
Warm 1/4 c strawberry preserves in microwave (or on stove top).
Serving suggestion: Place French Toast on plate and drizzle warmed preserves over top. Garnish with remaining strawberry. (Tip- slice strawberry on diagonal from crown to tip without separating and fan strawberry out.) Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
Alternates: Almost any type of preserves and fruit will work with this dish. In season we use blackberries and raspberries. You may substitute a dash of vanilla instead of the cinnamon for a sweeter flavor.
------------------AND A "BONUS" RECIPE FOR YOU...
Bananas Foster French Toast
Whisk together:
4 eggs
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Mix:
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Other ingredients:
6 tablespoons butter
4 ripe bananas sliced lengthwise then in half
3 tablespoons confectioners sugar
8-10 slices challah or French bread 3/4 inch thick
Dip bread into egg/cream mixture and cook on a skillet or flat top grill @ 325. Turn once, should be golden brown on both sides. In a sauté pan, melt butter; add bananas, then brown sugar mixture. Stir sauce and turn bananas, some caramelization should occur.
Plate French toast, top with bananas and sauce.
Dust with confectioners sugar.
Serve with maple syrup.

Easy, but impressive dinner suggestions?
I am hoping to cook dinner for my husband and his family on his birthday. There will be eleven people present, so it needs to be pretty simple.. but I do want it to be a wee bit impressive, too! Any ideas? Recipes?
I was thinking maybe some pasta with barbequed shrimp and/or chicken skewers, homemade garlic bread and a spinach salad.. and wine, of course. And maybe some birthday cake or cinnamon rolls for dessert or with coffee later on..? Or is that silly? My in-laws are pretty classy folks!
I am not stuck on this idea, at all. Any suggestions are welcome.. thanks for your help!
Broccoli Shrimp Pasta Toss
* 6 cups uncooked bow tie pasta
* 3/4 cup chopped onion
* 9 garlic cloves, minced
* 3 tablespoons butter or stick margarine
* 3 tablespoons olive oil
* 6 cups fresh broccoli florets
* 3/4 teaspoon salt
* 1-1/2 pounds uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
* 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1. Cook pasta according to package directions. In a large nonstick skillet, saute onion and garlic in butter and oil until tender. Add broccoli and salt; cook and stir over medium-high heat for 8 minutes. Add shrimp; cook and stir 2-3 minutes longer or until shrimp turn pink and broccoli is tender. Drain pasta; transfer to a serving bowl. Add the broccoli mixture; toss gently. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Italian Spinach Salad
* 3 (6 ounce) packages fresh baby spinach
* 3 green onion, thinly sliced
* 3 hard-cooked egg, chopped
* 9 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
* 1/2 cup and 1 tablespoon Italian salad dressing
* 1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
1. In a large salad bowl, toss spinach, onion, egg and bacon. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat salad dressing on high for 30-45 seconds or until warm. Pour over the salad and toss to coat. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

* 1 cup butter or margarine, melted
* 6 cloves garlic, minced
* 2 (1 pound) loaves French bread, halved lengthwise
* 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
1. In a small bowl, combine butter and garlic. Brush over cut sides of bread; sprinkle with parsley. Place, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 minutes. Broil 4-6 in. from the heat for 2 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into 2-in. slices. Serve warm.

* 24 OREO Cookies, crushed
* 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
* 4 (8 ounce) packages PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
* 1 cup sugar
* 2 tablespoons flour
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 1 (8 ounce) package BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted
* 4 eggs
* 1/2 cup blueberries
1. Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
2. Mix crumbs and butter; press onto bottom of 13x9-pan lined with foil. Bake 10 min.
3. Beat cream cheese, sugar, flour and vanilla with mixer until blended. Add chocolate; mix well.
4. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low after each just until blended. Pour over crust.
5. Bake 45 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool. Refrigerate 4 hours. Use foil to lift cheesecake from pan. Top with berries.
