Do you know cool easy and fast recipes and dishes with apples?
I know of apple pie only - I am looking for something easy and with less effort to cook - Im not very good in kitchen
any suggestions will be welcome 
Toffee Apples
Equipment
You'll need 15 wooden chopsticks or paddle pop sticks for this recipe.
Ingredients
* 15 small Red Delicious or Pink Lady apples, washed, dried
* 4 cups white sugar
* 1 cup water
* 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
* 2 teaspoons red liquid food colouring
Method
1. Push a stick into each apple. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Place sugar and water into a heavy-based saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring, until sugar has dissolved. Stop stirring. Bring to the boil. Using a wet pastry brush, brush away sugar crystals on sides of saucepan above syrup. Stir in cream of tartar and food colouring.
2. Reduce heat to low. Simmer toffee for 20 minutes or until it reaches hard crack stage. To check if it has reached this stage, add 1 teaspoon of toffee to a glass of ice-cold water. Remove solidified toffee from water and bend it. The toffee should crack easily and not feel sticky. Once toffee is at this stage, remove from heat immediately.
3. Wait until toffee stops bubbling then dip 1 apple into toffee. Tip pan on an angle to coat apple in toffee, especially around stick. Place onto prepared baking tray. Repeat with remaining apples. Allow to set at room temperature.

Anyone have any yummy recipes for a Halloween potluck?
I need a passing dish for my potluck at work tomorrow. I prefer something easy and inexpensive to prepare. There are five of us and I know one is bringing a cream cheese/salsa tortilla chip dip, someone else is bringing sloppy joes and another is bringing dessert, possibly red velvet cake. I want something creative and more like an appetizer so to speak than a main dish. Please help! All recipes and ideas are appreciated!
Baked Chicken Wings ("Bat Wings")
With a packet of chicken drummettes and a few basic ingredients, you can create a fast-food favorite at home!
Prep Time:30 min
Start to Finish:1 hr 15 min
Makes:24 wings
DIRECTIONS
2pounds chicken drummettes (24)
2tablespoons honey
2tablespoons ketchup
1tablespoon red pepper sauce
1tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Paprika
2/3cup ranch dressing
DIRECTIONS
1.Heat oven to 350ºF. Line jelly roll pan, 15 1/2x10 1/2x1 inch, with aluminum foil. Remove skin from chicken.
2.Mix honey, ketchup, pepper sauce and Worcestershire sauce in resealable plastic bag. Add chicken. Seal bag and refrigerate, turning occasionally, at least 15 minutes but no longer than 24 hours.
3.Place chicken in pan; sprinkle with paprika. Bake uncovered about 30 minutes or until crisp and juice of chicken is no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut. Serve with dressing.

Halloween Brain Dip
PREP TIME 15 Min
READY IN 15 Min
INGREDIENTS
* 2 avocados
* 1/2 cup prepared salsa
* 1 head cauliflower
* 6 thin slices red and blue fruit leather
1. Slice the avocados in half. Remove the seeds and set aside. Scoop the avocado out of the skin into a bowl. Mash with a fork or whisk and stir in the salsa. Set aside. Slice off one side of each pit to make it flat and expose the cores of the pits. They will look like eyes.
2. Remove all of the leaves from the cauliflower and remove the stem, leaving a nice hollow area with the outer part of the head intact. Use toothpicks to hold it together if it starts to fall apart.
3. Place the cauliflower into a small bowl, so that the hollow is facing upwards and most of the cauliflower is up out of the bowl. The bowl is just for stability. Fill with the avocado dip and arrange the pits as eyes. Decorate the white ''brain'' by weaving thin strands of red and blue fruit leather between the florets to make veins and arteries. I wrap the bowl with cheesecloth and decorate with red food coloring to make it even more horrific!

* 1 whole pita breads
* 3 tablespoons prepared pesto
* 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Split pita bread into two rounds. Spread with pesto and sprinkle with cheese. Cut each into six wedges. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until crisp. Serve warm.

Help with Jello Pudding Cake recipe?
I not an experienced baker so I a little help-
I have 'cook & serve' pudding instead of 'instant' and I have a regular 9 inch pan instead of a bunt pan- so what should I do differently?
Heres the recipe:
1 (3 1/2 ounce) package jello instant chocolate pudding mix
1 (18 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
4 eggs
1 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Directions
1Preheat oven to 350F; grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan.
2Blend all ingredients together in large mixer bowl; beat for two minutes at medium speed.
3Pour into pan and bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until cake springs back when lightly touched.
4Cool in pan for 15 minutes; remove from pan onto cooling rack to complete cooling.
It sounds like the pudding is just for extra flavor and moiture. You will be fine to make the cake in a regular pan (9x13 or TWO 9" rounds) The cake will be bigger than one nine inch pan. You will need to reduce the time because your cake will be spread more thinly...check it after about 20 minutes, but it will probably need about 25-30.

i really need a EASY recipe for chocolate chip scones using cream, not buttermilk!! thanks=]?
CHOCOLATE CHIP SCONES
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
3 tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sweet cream butter
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 to 6 tbsp. half & half
1 egg, beaten
A drip of vanilla
Heat oven to 400 degrees. In medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut butter into flour mixture until it resembles fine crumbs. Stir in 1 egg, chocolate chips, and just enough half & half so dough leaves side of bowl. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; knead lightly 10 times. Roll into a 1/2 inch thick circle; cut into 12 wedges. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Serve with butter. Can be stored in freezer up to 4 months. Yield: 12 scones.
OR
CHOCOLATE CHIP SCONES
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
6 tbsp. butter, cut into chunks
1 lg. egg
About 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate baking chips
1 tsp. granulated sugar
In a bowl mix flour, powdered sugar and baking powder. Cut butter into flour mixture with a pastry blender or rub with fingers until consistency of fine crumbs.
Break egg into a glass measuring cup and add milk to make 2/3 cup; stir milk mixture and chocolate into flour until evenly moistened. Pat into a ball and knead on a lightly floured board until dough holds together, 6-8 turns.
Pat dough into a 6 x 9 inch rectangle on a greased 12 x 15 inch baking sheet. Sprinkle with granulated sugar. Cut into 6 squares, then cut each square diagonally in half; separate wedges and space 1/2 inch apart. (Dough may be cut into shapes such as hearts, or circles instead if you wish.) Bake in a 450 degree oven until light golden brown, 12-15 minutes. Makes 12.
OR
CHOCOLATE CHIP SCONES
2 c. unsifted flour
3 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. buttermilk or milk
1 lg. egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Grease baking sheet. In large bowl combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
In small bowl combine milk, egg and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients along with chocolate chips and mix with fork until mixture clings together and forms a soft dough.
Turn dough onto floured surface and knead gently 5-6 times. With lightly floured rolling pin, roll dough into a 7-inch circle. Cut as many as you want into triangle or diamond shapes, or just cut into 4 wedges. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.

Cupcake recipes with pudding mixes?
I have these pudding mixes and I wanted to make some cool tasting cupcakes with them. Does anyone have a recipe for the following:
Key Lime Cupcakes
Banana Cupcakes
Butterscotch......anything. Ive made gingerbread cookies with it before but I want something different to do with them.

i don't like using cake mixes...i prefer from scratch.

Can someone get me a good recipe including heavy cream?
I have 2 small cartons of heavy creme and the usual stuff in my house. sugar, flour, eggs, etc...can someone help me think of a good recipe?

Cookbook Red Pie
Have you/or anyone you know had the Mountain High Mudd Pie from Red Robin?
I saw a close recipe to it in my favorite cookbook and I've decided that is what I want to make for my cousin's birthday (instead of a typical cake). However, it takes a long time to make and I don't want to spend all of my time making it if it is going to taste like crap. What do you think? Here is a picture I found;

How could it possibly taste like crap?
You'll be using Oreo chocolate cookies for the crust, good quality vanilla ice cream for the bottom layer, caramel sauce and premium chocolate ice cream for the top layer. Top with whipped cream, more caramel sauce & chocolate sauce and chocolate shavings.
