Does anyone know the recipe for White Castle Dip?
Supposedly it is made with ground hamburger meat (not WC burgers), velvetta cheese, onions, cream of mushroom?, and dipped on hawaiian bread. Im sure I am missing some of the ingredients... and it is cooked in the crock pot?
Yeah sounded disquisting to me too but supposedly its not.

Who knows a good recipe for Mexican rice? (to go with mole)?
I was recently given a container of homemade mole sauce which looks and smells absolutely delicious. I'll be preparing it with chicken but want an oustanding rice dish to accompany it. any ideas or links?
I think that the mole with chicken would be better with plain rice than with a spicy Mexican rice. The centerpiece of the meal seems to be your mole. It shouldn't compete with anything else that is spicy.
Go with white rice this time to let the mole show off. Save the Mexican rice for another occasion

Vegetarian Mexican Recipes Easy
Authentic VEGETARIAN Mexican Recipes?
So I already searched on here to find authentic recipes but they all have chicken or some other kind of meat.
Can anybody suggest some easy AUTHENTIC mexican recipes that are vegetarian? (PLEASE no TexMex because that's all I've been able to find.)
Ingredients:
3 oz dried corn husks
1 cup tvp granules or flakes
7/8 cup hot water
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup onion, chopped small
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 green pepper, chopped small
1 tbsp chili powder
2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 cup tomato puree
1 dash of cayenne
2 cup masa harina
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp margarine or oil
Instructions:
Soak the dried corn husks in cold water for 1 hour.
For the filling, soak the TVP in 7/8 c. hot water for 5 minutes.
Saute the olive oil, onion, garlic and green pepper in a skillet.
Add the chili powder, cumin, garlic salt, tomato puree and cayenne
to the reconstituted TVP. Mix TVP and onions and heat together for 2
minutes. Taste the filling and add a little hot sauce, if desired.
To make the masa dough, place the masa harina and salt into a bowl.
Slowly add enough warm water (about 1 1/2 cups) to make a firm but
moist dough, working in the margarine or oil as you knead the mixture.
To form the tamales, use the palm of your hand to slap-pat the masa
dough into flat patties a quarter-inch thick. Fold patty around a
spoonful of filling and place in a drained corn husk. Fold the husk
over to enclose the filling. If husks are small or broken, use
several pieces. Place 1 cup hot water in thebottom of a kettle, place
a steamer rack in the kettle and stack tamales on rack. Cover pan,
bring water to a boil, reduce heat and steam tamales 45 minutes. You
may want to cook them in two batches, depending on the size of your
steamer.
Makes 36-40 tamales.

TACO BAKE REcipe?
with cambells Fiesta soup in it...
what is all in it?
1 lb lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
3/4 cup water
1 package taco seasoning
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (8 ounce) package shell macaroni, cooked and drained
4 ounces chopped green chilies (mild)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
Brown ground beef and onion over medium heat; drain.
Add the water, taco seasoning and tomato sauce.
Mix well.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
Stir in macaroni, chilies and 1 1/2 cups of the cheese.
Pour into a greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Meatball Recipes Chili Sauce
Does anyone have a great cocktail meatball sauce recipe?
Does anyone have a great meatball sauce recipe that doesn't use chili sauce and grape jelly? I know there has to be some out there but I can't find them! Thanks!
This recipe calls for chili sauce, but not grape jelly. When I make these everyone always asks for the recipe.
Cranberry Cocktail Meatballs
Meatball ingredients:
2 lbs. ground beef
1 c. cornflake crumbs
2 eggs
1/3 c. ketchup
3 T. minced onion
2 T. soy sauce
¼ t. garlic powder
¼ t. pepper
Sauce:
16 oz. can jellied cranberry sauce
12 oz. bottle chili sauce
1 T. brown sugar
1 T. lemon juice
Preparation:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, conflake crumbs, eggs, ketchup, onion, soy sauce, garlic powder, and pepper. Mix well and form into small balls, from ½" to ¾" in diameter. Place in a casserole or baking pan. Heat oven to 300°. Meanwhile in a saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Cook stirring over medium heat until smooth. Pour hot sauce over meatballs in casserole. Bake for
30 to 45 minutes, depending on the size of the meatballs. Transfer to slow
cooker and keep on low for serving.

Does anyone have a recipe for broccoli cheese soup without processed cheese?
I saw one once with campbell's nacho cheese soup but now I can't find it. It doesn't have to have the nacho soup just no velveeta or other processed cheese.
Cream of Broccoli Cheese Soup
Ingredients:
2 cups milk
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cubes chicken bouillon
1 1/2 cup boiling water
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup cooked finely chopped broccoli
Cook onions in butter until tender. Blend in flour and seasonings and cook 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add boiling water and bouillon cubes and cook slowly until thick, stir in milk until smooth. Add the cheese and broccoli and heat through. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.

Help! I need authentic Mexican recipes?
My boyfriend will turn 40 this Friday and I am giving him a surprise birthday party Saturday. He is from Acapulco and most of his friends are Hispanic. I need recipes for his birthday party. I want to the entire menu to be Hispanic food.
Well first of all People of Mexico didn't grow up on Flour tortillas..They use corn tortillas..They use them like a bread to sop items up with or cook inside the dishes..I would start with Tortilla soup, Spanish rice and then a pork recipe for the meat like Pork Chili Verde. I know every one will love it.
Chili Verde Pork Ingredients:
4 pounds pork butt, cut into 1-inch cubes, trimmed of fat
4 yellow onions, chopped
4 Anaheim chiles
2 jalapeno, minced
4 tablespoons garlic, chopped
1 pound tomatillos, husk removed
1/2 cup white wine
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 cup chicken stock
2 tablespoons ground oregano
2 tablespoons ground cumin
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
Chili Verde Pork Cooking Instructions:
In a medium Dutch oven, heat the oil, add the onion, peppers and garlic.
Saute until translucent, do not brown. Remove and set mixture aside.
Lightly grill the tomatillos on open flame until lightly charred.
Remove from heat, place in bowl and cover with plastic wrap to keep warm for 20 minutes.
Add pork butt to Dutch oven and cook over high heat until browned on all sides
Add the onion-pepper mixture and tomatillos to the pork.
Mix thoroughly and then deglaze with white wine and vinegar. Let reduce for 5 minutes, then add chicken stock, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper. Serve with warmed corn tortillas. I fry mine in vegetable oil for about 20 seconds to heat up then pat dry with paper towel.
Let simmer for 1 hour.
Tortilla Soup
INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
4 boneless chicken breast halves, cooked and shredded
2 (14.5 ounce) cans chicken broth
1 (4 ounce) can diced green chiles
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers
1 cup corn kernels
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
4 (10 inch) flour tortillas
1 tablespoon olive oil
DIRECTIONS
Combine the chicken broth, green chilies, tomatoes with green chilies, onion, and garlic in a soup pot. Add the shredded chicken. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer for 30-35 minutes.
Add the lime juice, cilantro, cayenne, and cumin. Simmer for 10-15 minutes longer.
Cut the tortillas into 1/2 x 2-inch strips. Fry in hot olive oil in skillet until golden brown; drain on paper towels.
Ladle the soup into bowls. Garnish with shredded Monterey Jack cheese and the tortilla strips.
Spanish rice
2 tablespoons vegetable oil or bacon drippings
1 cup uncooked white rice
1 onion, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
2 cups chicken broth
1 large tomato chopped
1/2 can of chopped green chilis (4 oz can)
1 teaspoons chili powder,
1 tsp cumin
1 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Saute rice, onion, and bell pepper until rice is browned and onions are tender.
Stir in water , chilis and tomatoes. Season with chili powder, cumin and salt. Cover, and simmer for 30 minutes, or until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.

Recipes and advice for a teen who feeds herself?
I work, i use most of the money to buy good organic food, and i eat it myself. I do have a mother, but she is gone every other week and we rarely see eachother. She is a good cook, but for the past couple of years she has eaten little or she eats very bad food.
So are there simple, quick and easy things I can make?
I basically live off eggs, avocados, olives, dairy products, chicken, beef, salmon, tuna, berries, tomatoes, and occasionally bread.
I love it, but its getting old, and I'm running out of ways to prepare canned tuna! especially for school.....
i'm 17 and have little cooking experience
Chicken Fajitas
Ingredients:
* 2 pounds boneless chicken
* 1 onion, thinly sliced
* 1 red or green bell pepper, sliced
* 2 teaspoons chili powder
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 cup chicken broth
* 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
* 8 to 10 warm flour tortillas
* 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
Cut chicken across the grain into 1/2 inch diagonal strips. Place in a crockpot. Top with onion, bell pepper and lime. In a small bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, salt and broth. Pour mixture over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or until chicken is tender. Spoon several slices of chicken mixture with sauce into center of each warm tortilla. Fold over. Top with nonfat sour cream, cheese and tomatoes.

Baked Honey-Dijon Salmon
This is a wonderful way to prepare fresh salmon fillets in the oven. Be sure to make extra, your family will be begging for more! over 700 5-star ratings
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 Tbs Dijon mustard
1 1/2 Tbs honey
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
4 tsp chopped fresh parsley
4 (4 ounce) fillets salmon
salt and pepper to taste
1 lemon, for garnish
1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
2 In a small bowl, stir together butter, mustard, and honey. Set aside. In another bowl, mix together bread crumbs, pecans, and parsley.
3 Brush each salmon fillet lightly with honey mustard mixture, and sprinkle the tops of the fillets with the bread crumb mixture.
4 Bake salmon 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until it flakes easily with a fork. Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with a wedge of lemon

CROCK POT MACARONI & CHEESE
2 c. dry macaroni
2 lb. box Velveeta cheese
1 stick butter
3 c. milk
Cook macaroni until almost done. In crock pot on high, mix butter and cheese cut in small pieces until melted. Add macaroni, milk and stir well. Set crock pot on low until meal time, stirring occasionally.

Crispy Parmesan Chicken Breasts
• 1/3 cup KRAFT 100% Grated Parmesan Cheese
• 1/4 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
• 1/4 teaspoon paprika
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
• 6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
• 3 tablespoons butter or margarine melted
1. Pre-heat oven to 400 Degrees, Mix cheese, crumbs and seasonings in a shallow dish
2. Dip chicken in butter, coat with cheese mixture, place in a shallow baking pan
3. Bake 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through

Does anyone have any good white fish recipes?
I'm probably going to be making talapia and I want something that's light. I was thinking if anyone has a good Mexican recipe for it (not fish tacos please and no ceviche since I'm pregnant). It's going to be served with a tomato, cilantro and onion salad. So, something that's complimentary.

how about poached mexican talapia served cold or warm over your salad
Poaching: cooking aromatic liquid over medium heat ( not boiling)
broth for poaching
1 quart of water
1 lemon squeeze juice into pan you are going to poach in
1 cup white wine
1 onion chopped rough
1 carrot chopped rough
1 celery stock chopped rough
2 tomatoes chopped
3 tsp chili powder
chopped cilantro
bring to boil reduce heat so that the liquid just has a small slow boil,
add talapia
cook for 4-7 minutes
serving cold
remove pot from stove and place in fridge and cool ( you could do this the day before or early the day you are going to serve. dry
flake over salad.
Serving warm
gentle remove fish from hot liquid.
place on paper towel and pat
Remove fish from liquid and lightly flake over salad.
