How likely would quitting a retail job (Williams & Sonoma) at one location hurt me at getting hired at another?
In a nutshell I quit with only a day notice from a seasonal job (Christmas time) basically due to personal matters as well as not getting along with a key holder there whom I had to deal with closely. I will be moving out of state and was just curious how likely this experience would be likely to hurt my chances if I applied for seasonal work at the store in my new area.
Well having experience at the same chain is a plus - but quitting with little notice is a negative. BUT since they don't intend on keeping you long term anyways, I think that your positive outweighs your negative. Just be honest when you apply, and let them know that you quit (spare them the catty details)

Vegetable Broth or "No-Chicken" broth? ?
I want to make a vegetarian green bean casserole for thanksgiving, but the recipe i'm using calls for chicken broth so should I substitute it for Imagine "No-Chicken Broth"? (Which is basically a chicken broth substitute) or should I just use regular vegetable broth for the best flavor?
I'd do the Imagine "No-Chicken Broth" since it called for chicken broth and I personally like the taste of Imagine "No-Chicken Broth" better.

Will you please help me with Thanksgiving recipe?
My mom usually prepares the yams/sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving. She is unfortunately sick today and is sleeping soundly. We eat at 1:00 so my sister and I who are doing all the preparation this year could use a little help. My mom already baked the sweet potatoes. We've peeled them and are at a loss of what to do next. Well, we have an idea but don't want to get it wrong. My mom always uses Karo syrup, brown sugar, marshmallows and pecans. I think we should put the cut sweet potatoes in a pan and pour a mixture of brown sugar and syrup over them and then sprinkle the nuts and marshmallows then bake. Can anyone tell me if I'm on the right track or if you notice that I'm way off? PLEASE. 
My family will be grateful no matter how I make them but I would really like to make them good. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Don't panic! You hit it right on the head, do what you just said, remember that the taters are cooked already and all you're going to have to do is heat them up and meld all the goodness together, about 30min at 350

Does anyone have good Thanksgiving recipes they can lend to me?
I'm 19 and my family's been really indifferent towards holidays for a couple of years now. They resort to buying store-cooked turkey and other Thanksgiving foods, and I'm not a fan of doing that. I want to cook Thanksgiving dinner myself this year (for the first time). What foods does your family like, and what are the recipes for them? I'm making the following for sure:

-mashed potatoes
-macaroni and cheese
-vegetables
What else would be good? Please help! I want to impress my family.

What's a good turkey recipe for thanksgiving?
I need it to feed about 8 people and i need it FAST!
A Simply Perfect Roast Turkey
1 (18 pound) whole turkey
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 1/2 quarts turkey stock
8 cups prepared stuffing
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Place rack in the lowest position of the oven.
2. Remove the turkey neck and giblets, rinse the turkey, and pat dry with paper towels. Place the turkey, breast side up, on a rack in the roasting pan. Loosely fill the body cavity with stuffing. Rub the skin with the softened butter, and season with salt and pepper. Position an aluminum foil tent over the turkey.
3. Place turkey in the oven, and pour 2 cups turkey stock into the bottom of the roasting pan. Baste all over every 30 minutes with the juices on the bottom of the pan. Whenever the drippings evaporate, add stock to moisten them, about 1 to 2 cups at a time. Remove aluminum foil after 2 1/2 hours. Roast until a meat thermometer inserted in the meaty part of the thigh reads 180 degrees F (80 degrees C), about 4 hours.
4. Transfer the turkey to a large serving platter, and let it stand for at least 20 to 30 minutes before carving.

Looking for stuffing recipe made in a pan my Greek Mother makes with rice gr beef chestnuts cinnamon walnuts?
My Greek mother-in-law makes a stuffing (not stuffed in the turkey) at Thanksgiving and New Years. It has ground beef, rice, water chestnuts and walnuts I think, with a wonderful cinnamon flavor. Would really appreciate it if anyone could check with their greek relative or friends. I do not know what the greek name is for it though. Thanks for any help you can give. Happy holidays!!
Greek Traditional Turkey with Chestnut and Pine Nut Stuffing
"This is my grandmother's old recipe for a delicious turkey roasted in lemon, orange, and tangerine juice, and stuffed with meat, roasted chestnuts, and pine nuts. An excellent recipe for everybody who loves Greek cuisine."
Original recipe yield: 12 servings
PREP TIME 30 Min
COOK TIME 4 Hrs 15 Min
READY IN 4 Hrs 45 Min
INGREDIENTS
1 cup chestnuts
2/3 cup butter
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup tangerine juice
2/3 cup lemon juice
1 (10 pound) whole turkey
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup uncooked instant rice
1/4 cup pine nuts
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons brandy
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
Make a small incision on sides of each chestnut, and place in a skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring often, until toasted. Remove from heat, peel, and chop.
Melt 2/3 cup butter in a saucepan, and mix in the orange juice, tangerine juice, and lemon juice. Rub the turkey inside and out with the mixture, reserving some for basting. Season turkey with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, ground pork, and onion until beef and pork are evenly brown and onion is tender. Drain grease. Mix in the rice. Stir in the chestnuts, pine nuts, raisins, 1/3 cup butter, broth, and brandy. Season with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Continue cooking until all liquid has been absorbed. Stuff all turkey cavities with the mixture, and tie in place with kitchen twine.
Place turkey on a rack in a roasting pan, and loosely cover breast and thighs with aluminum foil. Pour about 1/4 inch water into the bottom of the pan. Maintain this level of water throughout cook time. Roast turkey in the preheated oven 3 to 4 hours, brushing occasionally with remaining butter and juice mixture. Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) during final hour of roasting, and remove foil. Cook turkey to a minimum internal temperature of 180 degrees F (82 degrees C).

what is a easy recipe for sweet potato casserole. made with canned yams? I want to put marshmallows in it too.?
i want to make a casserole using 3, 40oz cans of canned yams in syrup. I bought vanilla extract and light brown sugar and cinnamon , and marshmallows to put in it. I also want to mash the yams. what is a good recipe with these ingredients? I know you use butter and eggs as well i think? lol. please help i don't want to ruin this holiday favorite for my family. thanks!!!
Hi, I make fresh but canned work just as well. You do not need eggs. You drain the liquid off the canned yams, warm them with butter and mash together, then mix in brown sugar to your taste. Then if you would like after they are mashed and heated well put a layer of miniature marshmallows on them just before serving and brown for a few minutes in the upper rack of your over. Be careful they get done fast.

Fried Turkey - a Southern Take on Thanksgiving
One of the best things about living in the south is fried food. These days you can pretty much fry anything from Twinkies, to onions, to seafood, to cheesecake. The possibilities are endless! With Thanksgiving right around the corner, there’s a new take on preparing your feast. Two words, fried turkey.
Now I know most people get caught up in the traditional aspects of this holiday what with the colored leaves decorations and the excitement over your favorite foods like cranberry sauce and green bean casserole, but why not try something a little different this year? Our recent presidential election erupted cheers of “change” so let’s incorporate this transition of change into our everyday lives. And by change, I mean, connecting with our Southern roots and tendencies.
If you look on any food/cooking website, you’ll almost always find some sort of recipe for frying turkeys. Just the other day I found a fried turkey recipe from Paula Deen. One of the benefits of using a turkey fryer is reduced time needed to cook the turkey. For all Americans striving to cut corners to get things done in a shorter amount of time, then this is the Thanksgiving answer for you.
Now before you embark on this new proposition, you must invest in a quality turkey fryer. Every fryer consists of a burner (which is attached to a propane tank), a large stock pot, a lifter, and a thermometer. Remember, you might have a 6 lb turkey so make sure your stock pot is large enough to hold your ideal turkey size. One important reminder: make sure turkey is thawed before placing into the fryer. If not thawed, this could lead to a grease fire. Unwrap your turkey, place in the pot, and fill with water until the turkey is covered plus an extra inch. Mark this line as this is how much oil you should use when frying.
Now it’s time to clean your turkey! Make sure the giblets and neck are removed (if left in, they could create a big mess). Then make a 1 inch cut around the leg/thigh joints as this allows the oil to drain when the turkey is done. Rub your turkey with any seasonings or inject with marinades to add a little extra flavoring.
Place your stock pot on the fryer and pour in the cooking oil (I prefer peanut oil) up to the line you marked earlier. Attach the thermometer to the top edge of the pot making sure the stem is in the oil at least 1 inch. Turn on the fryer and heat oil to 350 degrees F. Once it reaches the temperature, reduce heat slightly and slowly lower the turkey into the pot (make sure the legs are facing up!!). This may take awhile as well as know what happens to food when you place it in hot oil. It might bubble and jump at you, so be careful. Once the turkey is lowered, turn the fryer burner up to return to 350 degrees. In terms of cooking time, allow 4 minutes per pound of turkey. Place newspaper on the ground so you can place your fried turkey on it when it is done.
Now you have found a way to wow the relatives this Thanksgiving with a new turkey recipe. Remember, make sure the turkey is completely thawed before placing in the hot oil. If you’re concerned about the amount of propane left in tank, there is a gadget called GasWatch Propane Tank Level Indicator which you hook up to the propane tank and it tells you how much gas is left. Now you know if you will need that extra propane tank on hand.

Does anyone have a low or non-fat recipe for Garlic Confetti Mashed Potatoes?
I had a recipe from a magazine (Reader's Digest, I think) for Confetti Mashed Potatoes that had celery, garlic, and carrots in it. All of the vegetables were boiled together and, if I remember correctly, there was no butter or margarine added, but may have had broth or milk added before mashing. I'd love to have the recipe for Thanksgiving if anyone has it.

Weight Watchers Simply Delicious Winning Points Cookbook
Roasting rather thanboiling, the potatoes helps to give this classic side dish a lighter, fluffier texture. 2points.
Ingredients
1 1/2lbs Baking potatoes,scrubbed
7 Garlic cloves,peeled
1/3c. Low-fat(1%) milk
2 tbsp. Butter
1/2tsp. Salt
1/4tsp. Freshly ground pepper
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 425.
2. Pierce the potatoes several times with a fork. Wrap the garlic in foil. Place the potatoes and garlic on a baking sheet. Bake until the potatoes pierceeasily with a fork and the garlic is softened, about 45min. Let cool until comfortable to handle, about 10min.
3. Slit the potatoes with a knife and using a spoon, scoop out the flesh; transfer to a bowl. Mash the garlic with a fork and combine in a small saucepan with the milk, butter, salt, and pepper. Heat the garlic mixture until hot. Pour over the potatoes and mash until smooth.
